I am not too sure what the overall votes were, but when I went to bed, Obama needed 71 Electoral votes, and McCain needed 135. I am relieved, the thought of another George Bush is rather frightening to me. Call me one-sided, but I seriously cannot see how some people can like John McCain. He is your average rich, white conservative.

Bush (and Cheney, the one pulling the strings), is the reason our Country is in such financial turmoil, and McCain voted alongside him almost 90% of the time. Why do we want someone who is a close follwer of, and endorsed by the worst president in American history?

He wants tax breaks for the rich, and big corporate greedy businessman who care about nothing more than profit for themselves. He wants them to have more money, so they can further carve this country up a little-bit finer among themselves, stiffing the little guys and taking everything for the upper one percent. So why do we want him in office?

He yells at Obama for being socialist because he wants to "spread the wealth around". Why is it so bad for people to be more equal? Capitalism is defined as an economic system in which the means of production are distributed to openly competing profit-seeking private persons. Investments, distribution, income, production and pricing of goods and services are predominantly determined through the operation of a market economy. America wants to have a free market economy, meaning anyone can open up shop. If a person wants to own a business, he can. So if McCain wants to keep tax breaks for the big and the rich, and keep taxing the smaller guys, making it harder for small businesses to succeed, couldn't Obama yell at him saying that he is trying to make America into an Oligarchy? Meaning that the whole country would be controlled by the smallest percentage, but the most powerful. Meaning that the rich and powerful would control everything else.

Something is shady about him.

And as for Sarah Palin...I don't even want to get started on her.

It's been awhile...

Well, I figured since it's been awhile since my last post, I would add a few things, just for an update.

School and work have been rather hectic, which is why my post-idge has been a tad low.

School has been going well, Criminal Law is kicking my ass, but I have been a formidable opponent, so it's not too bad. I really like my Administration of Justice class, the teacher is an retired NYPD detective, so he definitely knows his material. Psychology has to be my absolute favorite class, it's pretty easy, and very applicable to every day life, which makes it a much more palatable course.

So, not too long ago, I was given a first hand experience of the Criminal Justice system, when a damned Statie got me doin' 60 in a 45. It WAS a 55 zone, I, however, did not see the change. So I'm pleading not guilty hoping incompetience is an excuse. But, the cop did lie on my ticket. I think it was an accident, but the more chance I have of him looking unable to properly do his job the better chance I have of winning the case. So we'll see how it all plays out.

A few weeks ago, I went to a Seether concert. They are pretty well known around the country, their openers were local band, Dropclutch, and some band from Europe called State of Shock, both of whom were very good. I came home with a fair amount of bruises from the mosh pits, but it's all in good fun. I crowd surfed twice, the first time they almost dropped me. My back sort of tapped the floor, then they threw me back in the air. The second time I was dropped flat on my back from 6-7 feet, I got back up and jumped, they all grabbed me and put me up.
Now, at the front, there is a gate, as there is with most shows, to keep the crowd and the stage seperate. Guards stand at the gate, and help crowd surfers. The second time the guards couldn't hold me and dropped me elbow first right on the gate...ouch.

All in all things have been good.

Oh, my truck broke...again. I want to get a new one, but it looks like I'm just going to have to throw away more money into this money pit that's going to break again any way. So I am going to at least spend a little on aesthetics. Make it a little nicer to look at. Maybe get some new speakers. If I'm going to keep the same piece of shit, I might as well make it a nice piece of shit, eh?

The System is Screwed

So I work at a grocery store, bagging groceries and whatnot. And the other night, a woman - the ethnicity of which will not be named - came in with her four kids, buying a very high amount of food. It was well over a $200.00 order, and she payed for it all in foodstamps.

Now, before I continue, let me say something. I think foodstamps and welfare are good ideas, when they used how they are supposed to be used; when people use government aid between jobs or when they are disabled. However, some people abuse the system to get a free ride. Some people will have a significant other with a well paying job, and still apply for welfare and EBT (foodstamps) to collect more money. Now, why are MY tax dollars being dealt out to people who don't feel like working? Or to people with jobs who would rather buy drugs? Why do I have to work my ass off for a piteous $7.70 an hour, while others ride on the coattails of working citizens like myself? I'm not sure why, but it seems like a pretty screwed up way to run things.

That being said, as I am taking the stuff out to the ladies car - all payed for with my tax dollars - I begin to place the stuff in the trunk of her brand new BMW. This was a car which runs for well over $50,000. Now, why does someone who needs government aid driving such a high profile vehicle? These people are freeriders, and they are the reason the world is becoming such a shitty place. I don't have much more to say. However, I do believe there needs to be more investigation into this type of thing. This should be considered to be some form of fraud. Why doesn't this fall into the catagory of welfare fraud? By using tax dollars she is getting a free ride, she is cheating the system. Now why the hell doesn't anyone do anything about this?

Why do we complain about a recession and a lack of money, when people like this abuse tax dollars? If this sort if thing were investigated more heavily, I wonder how much money we could save.

An interesting thought...

An Eventful Night

So last night I was given 4 free tickets to a Binghamton Met's baseball game. So I contacted a few friends and ended up going with my friends Katy and Mike. It was a decent game, and we got into a bit of an argument with the guy in front of us. He was angry because we wouldn't stop talking. I mean hellooo...it is a baseball game. It is not going to be totally silent. Maybe if he had been paying better attention to the game he would not have been able to eavsdrop on our conversations. He should really think about what he wants to waste his money on. I mean, you don't pay to get into a game to listen to those around you.

So we left the game around 9, and Mike and I parted ways with Katy. We went to his house so he could get a sweatshirt. After that we went to Panera Bread, or as we call it, Pantera Bread. We went mainly to visit my friend Samirah, but I also got a PP&J sandwich and a Mountain Dew. We wanted to hang with her when she was out of work, so we went to Wal Mart to goof off while we waited for her to get off. At Wal Mart I rode a Kid's ride, which was fun. I also shook a baby (relax people, only a toy. I simply needed practice for when I become a real father).

Around 10:30 she came down and we ended up hanging out at Barnes and Noble, looking through random books and whatnot. All in all it was a pretty good night.

Europe Pictures

So I was finally able to get all 830 pictures from my Europe trip uploaded to photobucket. On the right side of this page there is a link to my photobucket page. On the left side of that page ther are albums. Click on the "Europe" album to check them out. For those of you who don't know why I went to Europe, I'll explain a bit...

In the beginning of my senior year I was presented with the opportunity to play in a group called American Music Abroad. A group that tours through Europe playing concerts. I quickly jumped at this chance. So we all got the music in the spring and were expected to know it by july 4th, when we all met at East Stroudsberg University. There were about 145 kids who went, there was a band and a choir. We all met and practiced for three straight days, about 9 or more hours a day. On the last day we played a concert for the parents, the following day -a monday- we took off on a flight to Vienna, Austria. We stayed in various places throughout Europe for a little over 2 weeks.

So there's the story...check the pix.

Ibanez Euphoria

So on my way back from the mall, I came across one of these bad boys. The Steve Vai signature acoustic. It played like a dream, with a very crisp clean sound. I toyed with the idea of a purchase, but once I saw the price tag read for $1100.00, I quickly tossed that idea.

So I figured while I was there I would buy a few guitar picks. Bought two, for a grand total of $.50. Much more appealing than the eleven-hundred dollar price tag on the Vai acoustic.

College Stuff Today

So I'm sitting here in my bedroom, it's 8:44 am. America just nailed the floor routine, go USA. The way these people flip around in the air is unreal, I wish I could do stuff like that. I would so just we walking through a public place and do a random backflip, just to be cool.

It's wierd watching these people walk. They walk so...structured. You watch some of these routines and they're very free flowing, however when they walk they're so timed and strict. Odd to watch. Maybe it's communist China taking effect.

Either way, these are some pretty cool Chica's. I'd shake someone's hand for that.

First Post

So I just made this little blogspot page.
